da betobet: Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp is expecting to receive some abuse from Southampton supporters at St Mary’s today.
da esport bet: The former Saints boss has not taken a team back to his former employers since he left them immediately after being relegated from the Premier League eight years ago.
Media darling Redknapp then went on to rejoin Southampton’s bitter rivals Portsmouth the following season and Saints fans have not forgotten how they were treated.
The fans on the South Coast will be smiling come five o’clock if their team has piled more pressure on Rangers who are rock bottom of the Premier League.
Redknapp has received good receptions when playing against former clubs Portsmouth and Tottenham but Southampton, along with West Ham, still have a bad taste in their mouths regarding the experienced boss.
The current QPR manager is not concerned about Southampton’s fans and is just hoping his team will quieten them down.
“I will get a bit of grief, won’t I? But what can you do? That’s no problem,” Redknapp told The Sun.
“They are not bad people there. I wouldn’t say Southampton supporters are nasty, aggressive people. They’re not.
“They’re good supporters and they’ll give me a bit of grief but that’s life. I accept that. I will just get on with.
“I won’t lose any sleep over that. I will only lose sleep if the result is bad.”
