da jogodeouro: The Liverpool Echo have reported that Everton manager Marco Silva has not ruled out the possibility that out-of-favour striker Oumar Niasse may have a chance to shine for the Toffees before the January transfer window.
What’s the word?
As per the aforementioned report, Silva stated that “we don’t know the future and Niasse is part of our squad. We have ahead a tough, tough month with a big number of matches, so the opportunity could come for each player.”
The in-form Richarlison is currently leading the line at Goodison Park, but with Cenk Tosun struggling to impress in English football, Niasse – who has barely featured in the Premier League this season – could get his chance.
The Playmaker FC squad decided to wind-up some unsuspecting Brazil fans at the Emirates on Saturday night. Watch the hilarious results in the video below…
The 28-year-old deserves an opportunity to impress, as when he has been called upon in the past he has regularly delivered. His league return of eight goals in 22 appearances last season is pretty impressive considering he started just ten of those games.
Before opting to cash in on the striker with a £7.2 million Transfermarkt valuation, the 9-cap Senegal international ought to be afforded the opportunity to stake his claim for more regular involvement on Merseyside.
Help for Richarlison
Silva has worked with Niasse before in their shared time at Hull City, and the striker was in good form at that time. It is clear, then, that the current Everton boss is capable of getting the best out of Niasse.
What’s more, with Richarlison’s preferred position actually being on the flank, the 21-year-old Brazilian himself could benefit from seeing Niasse get a spell up front in the starting XI.
