da premier bet: Former West Brom manager Alan Irvine has called on Saido Berahino and John Stones to stay put despite interest from Spurs and Chelsea respectively.
da gbg bet: The English duo have both been the subject of rejected bids from the mooted potential suitors in recent weeks after impressing with their club sides.
Stones is widely considered to be Everton’s best centre-back despite being just 21, while Berahino was West Brom’s top scorer last season with 14 league goals.

But even though Chelsea and Spurs can offer the duo European football and, likely, wage increases, Irvine feels that the pair should opt against transfers for now for the good of their development as players:
“From Saido’s point of view he feels it might be the right time and the right club to move to, but personally I think young players who are still developing, as Saido is, should be at a club where they can continue that development,” he told talkSPORT.
“If I was asked for my opinion by Saido, I would say to him, ‘stay where you are’.
“He’s got a lot of potential, he’s got good movement for a young player and finishes well with both feet, but there are things that he still needs to develop and improve and I think he’ll be given a chance to do that at West Bromwich Albion.
“I was asked recently what I thought about the John Stones situation, and my advice to John Stones would be exactly the same – stay at Everton.
“He played his 50th game for Everton this weekend, how long will it take him to play 50 games at Chelsea? It might just set his career back a little bit.
“Young players need to continue to play at the right level. We’re talking about two young players here who have real potential and are developing, but who need the games in order to do that.
“If they don’t play they’re likely to go backwards.”
Everton have already rejected three offers from Chelsea for Stones, with the latest thought to have been worth around £30m.
Meanwhile, West Brom announced on Monday that Berahino had requested a transfer away from The Hawthorns, which they rejected.
