da bet sport: It’s the most wonderful time of the year. At least, it is to some people.
da heads bet: As Jim White suits up, knotting his most garish yellow tie under a cheesily beaming smile, most people will feel what you might describe as Marmite pangs – you either love deadline day or you loathe it.
And if Jim White is the man most minds jump to when they hear the words ‘deadline day’, then not far behind in second place has to be Harry Redknapp. Most of the best managers in the world are canny in the transfer market, and the man who took Tottenham Hotspur into the Champions League for the first time in their history back in 2011 certainly has plenty of skills in that department.
Known for being able to spot and player, Redknapp took a Spurs team with the likes of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale into Europe’s premier club competition, and perhaps it’s telling that his eye for a bargain aligned perfectly with his chairman’s at White Hart Lane during his time in charge.
Daniel Levy is also known as a great operator in the transfer market, having recently built a title-chasing Spurs team out of young talent, good scouting and shrewd purchases. And it’s no surprise, then, that Harry Redknapp reveals just how much his former boss loves deadline day. Watch the video below to find out just how much….
