da bet nacional: According to The Daily Mail, Liverpool are interested in making a move for Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster before the transfer deadline, and Saints fans have been quick to react on Twitter.
The Daily Mail has listed the players the Reds potentially want with the window set to slam shut next Thursday, and the 31-year-old was a surprise name on it.
The stopper was once the south coast outfit’s undoubted number one stopper and was part of the side that only conceded 33 goals in 38 Premier League matches during the 2014/15 season, but he went 18 months without making a first-team appearance before starting against West Ham United in May – a 3-0 defeat.

Forster was actually the third-choice option behind Angus Gunn and Alex McCarthy for much of the 2018/19 campaign, even though he is the club’s joint-highest-earning player, according to Spotrac.
Of course, the transfer path from Southampton to Liverpool has been a well trodden one in recent years, with Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne, Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk all departing St Mary’s for Anfield.
Saints supporters may not have wanted some of the aforementioned names to go previously, but many don’t seem to upset at the prospect of losing the 6 foot 7 stopper to the Reds this time around even if others feel it is unlikely to come to fruition.
While one fan said it was “finally a Southampton to Liverpool transfer I can get on board with”, another said “that ain’t gonna happen”.
